Join Motus Theatre for an evening of live, interactive theater celebrating the neighborly spirit that has shaped Erie across generations.
In honor of Colorado’s 150th anniversary, this special Motus Playback performance invites you to share stories that celebrate the extraordinary neighborly spirit that has shaped Erie across generations. Regardless of politics, culture, identity, and religion, nearly all of us carry a story about a neighbor who showed up when it mattered. This evening is an opportunity to remember those moments together.
Audience members are invited to share their own stories of generosity, belonging, and unexpected connection. Each story is brought to life in the moment by the Motus Playback Ensemble, whose improvisational actors and musicians transform lived experiences into powerful, unscripted theater. What unfolds is often moving, surprising, and deeply human.
After the performance, stay for tea and cookies as the conversation continues and connections deepen. Come experience how stories can shift how we see one another and remind us what it means to be good neighbors.
This family-friendly event welcomes ages 10 to 100 and offers a rare chance to celebrate Colorado’s sesquicentennial not just through history, but through the living stories that continue to shape our shared future.
