Tuesday, December 16, 2025 (7:00 PM - 8:30 PM) (EST)
Description
Restorative Arlington is honored to host Travis Claybrooks, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Raphah Institute in Nashville, TN, as our guest speaker for our December Community Advisory Team Meeting. We welcome all interested members of the NACRJ community to register here.
This session maps the steady state of justice in thriving communities, shows how violence disrupts people, systems, and trust, and demonstrates why restorative justice delivers stronger results than punitive responses. Participants will see how practices that center accountability, repair, and relationship help survivors heal, reduce repeat harm, and strengthen community safety. The session blends clear frameworks with practical tools you can use immediately.
By the end of the session, participants will be able to
- Define the steady state of justice and name its essential conditions
- Explain how violence destabilizes those conditions for both individuals and communities
- Compare restorative and punitive approaches using outcomes that matter, including survivor healing, accountability, and safety
