Dismas House of Indiana is seeking a Director of Residential Life to lead and strengthen our residential reentry program in South Bend, Indiana. This role is responsible for overseeing two recovery residences serving justice-impacted individuals returning from incarceration and working to rebuild their lives in community.

The Director of Residential Life provides leadership, structure, and accountability within the homes while ensuring residents are supported with dignity, consistency, and clear expectations. This role supervises residential staff, oversees case management and program alignment, and serves as the primary decision-maker in complex resident situations.

Dismas House operates from a restorative justice framework that emphasizes accountability, belonging, and community connection. The Director of Residential Life plays a key role in maintaining this culture while navigating the real challenges of reentry, including housing instability, employment barriers, trauma, and system involvement.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Oversee daily operations of two residential homes serving justice-impacted individuals
• Supervise residential staff, including House Managers and case management leadership
• Ensure consistent implementation of program expectations and house structure
• Respond to resident concerns, conflicts, and crises with sound judgment and clear decision-making
• Support alignment between residential life, case management, and programming
• Participate in a rotating on-call schedule to support staff and residents

This is a leadership role requiring strong decision-making, emotional intelligence, and the ability to balance accountability with support.
